Martin Ward

Martin Ward
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Martin holds a BSc. (Hons) Mathematics degree from the University of Surrey, England and furthered his business qualifications by undertaking a Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program in mid 2000.

With a strong background in Corporate Management, Martin’s career path includes a ten year period with Inchcape PLC, initially with their liquor division in the Middle East and Asia Pacific at a Managing Director level. In 1996, he became Managing Director of Inchcape Motors (Australia) and in 1998 was additionally appointed Regional CEO and Director Asia Pacific/Australasia.

From January 2001 to March 2005 Martin was the Chief Executive Officer of Ford Motor Company’s Sydney Retail Joint Venture.

Martin joined A.P. Eagers on 1 July 2005, was appointed Chief Executive Officer on 1 January 2006 and was appointed a Director of the Company on 6 March 2006.

Martin is a Director of Australian Automotive Dealer Association Limited (appointed January 2014).

Denis Stark

Denis Stark
General Counsel & Company Secretary

Denis joined A.P. Eagers in January 2008 as General Counsel & Company Secretary after having held similar roles with other public companies.

He oversees the Investor Relations, Company Secretarial, Legal, and Insurance functions and Property portfolio.

Denis holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland and is admitted as a solicitor in Victoria and Queensland.

Sophie Moore

Sophie Moore
Chief Financial Officer

Sophie was appointed Chief Financial Officer in August 2015.

Sophie started her financial career with PwC in 1993 spending most of her 10 years in the Transaction Advisory business. Sophie then joined Flight Centre Travel Group Limited in 2003 as General Manager Global Corporate Finance.

Sophie is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance.

Sophie is responsible for the group’s Accounting, Taxation, Internal Audit and Treasury functions.

Keith Thornton

Keith Thornton
Chief Operating Officer – Cars

Keith is a licensed Motor Dealer and holds a Bachelor of Economics. His motor industry experience commenced in 1995 and covers retail and wholesale operations in volume, niche and prestige sectors of the industry.

He joined A.P. Eagers in 2002 as General Manager of Southside Honda and Land Rover and became General Manager of Austral Honda and Austral Volkswagen in 2004.

Keith was appointed General Manager Operations – Vehicles in 2005 to oversee New and Used vehicle operations. In 2007, he was promoted to General Manager Queensland and Northern Territory with full responsibility for all operational issues.

On January 1st 2017, Keith became Chief Operating Officer, responsible for all car operations nationally.

Michael Raywood

Hazel Cromie
Group Human Resources Manager

Hazel joined AP Eagers in September 2017 with fifteen years experience in the Australian Human Resources market within the retail, healthcare and manufacturing sectors including nine years leading human resources teams with one of Australia’s largest retail employers.

Hazel has a strong focus on creating high performance teams aligned with the organisation strategy. Hazel is a Certified Member of the Australian Institute of Human Resources.
